UX New Zealand 2020 Competition – Terms & Conditions

  1. By entering the competition each entrant will be deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions and to have agreed to be bound by them.
  2. Failure to supply all requested personal information at the time of submitting an entry might result in the entry being invalid.
  3. No responsibility will be taken for late/lost/incomplete entries or entries with incorrect details. Entries will be deemed to be void if stolen, forged, or tampered with in any way.
  4. Only one entry online will be accepted.
  5. By entering the competition the winner agrees to their names being published on social media/email announcement (and a photograph if practical) and that Optimal Workshop may use their names and such photographs for publicity purposes.
  6. The prizes are not transferable or exchangeable, and cannot be redeemed for cash.
  7. There is one prize available: a pair of Bose noise-canceling headphones. All prizes are subject to standard terms and conditions of the company supplying the prize. 
  8. Full details of the prize will be given in writing upon request.
  9. Only entries received by the closing date via the Optimal Workshop card sort study will be accepted. Acceptance of competition entries closes at 5:00 pm NZST, 20 November 2020.
  10. Winners will be drawn on 27 November 2020 NZST at The Optimal Workshop premises, 25 Courtenay Place, Wellington, New Zealand.
  11. Winners will be notified no later than the 2 December 2020 NZST.
  12. If the prize winner cannot be contacted within 3 days, at Optimal Workshop’s discretion that the winner will forfeit the prize with no right of compensation and the prize will be redrawn.
  13. Subject to any applicable law which cannot be excluded, Optimal Workshop Limited and their employees are not responsible for any loss or damage whatsoever that is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for personal injury suffered or sustained during the course of accepting or using the prizes.
  14. Entry is open to all countries and is not limited. Employees of Optimal Workshop Limited are not eligible to enter these competitions.
  15. The decision of judges in relation to any aspect of the competition is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  16. All entries become the property of Optimal Workshop and may be used for promotional and marketing purposes. 
  17. Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 1993, all individuals have the right to access and correct their personal information by contacting Optimal Workshop in writing to Optimal Workshop, BX Squad, PO Box 27456, Wellington 6011.
