Do you have a support phone number?
We are often asked whether we offer phone support. The long answer is yes, but the short answer is that we don't have a support phone number.
But what kind of shady two-bit fly-by-night operation doesn't have a support phone number!?!?
One that is conveniently based in New Zealand. Although we don't think that we fit into any of those other categories.
Ahhh New Zealand:




Yes, that New Zealand.
But what the pictures don't tell you is that we live in the future. Literally. 12 hours to be precise (GMT+12). That means when it's 9am in London, it's 8pm here. When it's 9am in New York, its 1am here. 9am in San Francisco, 4am here.
It's not that we don't want to talk to you, in fact, we love talking to our customers! It's just that we've tried phone support, and it is very difficult.
The trade-off
We don't mind waking up early or staying up late into the night if it means that we can solve your problem. If you send your phone number and timezone to support@optimalworkshop.com, we will happily give you a call as soon as we can.
Rest assured that as soon as we are able to provide 24 hour on-call support staff, we will be more than happy to do so. But we're not quite able to do that yet. In the mean time, you'd be surprised how accessible we are by email - all through the day, and often through the night. In fact our experience has shown that in most cases, email is the quickest way to resolve your issue.
