Required to go to final tier of navigation

Is there a way to say "I'd find it here" in levels other than the final tier in my navigation. For instance, we have a intranet with 5 levels, with content on each page. So when I ask users to find something that lives on a level 3 page, they do not have the option of selecting the level 3 content page, they must proceed to the level 5 page (where the content is not). Is there a solution?

    Hi Charlie,
Only terminating items in the tree (leaf nodes) are selectable as correct answers. The reasons are best explained in this article. If you have any further questions please let me know.
