This might seem like a dumb question, but how do you format the structure of your tree when inputting it?

    Hi JJ,

After creating a survey and giving it a name and web address etc, you will need to initially save the survey. Once the survey is saved, you will be able to add the tree structure into a textbox that is provided. You can choose to:

    a) paste a tree from a spreadsheet or text file
    b) enter your tree directly

When formatting your tree, make sure that each item is on its own line, and that the child of any entry is indented with respect to that entry. In a text file, you can achieve this with either tabs or spaces, but not a mixture of both.

    Here is an example:

    Level One A
         Level Two A1
         Level Two A2
         Level Two A3
    Level One B
         Level Two B1
         Level Two B2
              Level Three B2A
         Level Two B3
    Level One C
         Level Two C1
              Level Three C1A
                   Level Four C1AA

    I hope this helps.

    Regards,
    Evan

    Thanks Evan.

Actually I had formatted it correctly, but I didn't realise you had to save the tree and then create a task before you could see it working properly.

It would be good to be able to click through the tree at the point you are creating it - that way you can really tell if you've formatted it correctly or not.

    Thanks again.
