Chalkmark is a remote and unmoderated user research tool to help you understand the first impressions, or intuition of your users. This is done by studying where your users would click first in a task based context.
Research has shown that if people get their first click "wrong" when trying to find something on a website or intranet, they often don't recover. First Click Testing is a task based research method whereby you supply a set of images and ask people to complete a list of associated tasks and you end up with a heatmap of where they've clicked. The image can be of anything you like, wireframes, screenshots, designs or a photo of your whiteboard if you like. The tasks should be a list of things your users have come to your website or intranet to get done. Chalkmark just records the first thing they click for each task and then goes onto the next one. After your survey participants have completed the tasks you can view a heatmap of where they clicked.
