Create and upload your cards
Create cards for participants to group into categories that make sense to them. Cards are created using representative items from your website. You can assign a description to each card so that it's easier to understand.
Choose between an open or closed card sort. Participants create their own categories in an open sort, and use predetermined categories in a closed sort.
Ask survey questions
Maybe you want to know if staff members sort cards differently from customers? Easy, set up a short survey before the card sort starts.
Surveying participants will let you filter results based on how they responded to your questions.
Choose from radio button, check box or free text survey questions.
Customise and style it your way
You can tailor several pages of instructions, welcome and finish messages to suit the audience you're reaching.
Display your own logo and choose a web address that includes your organisation name. You can also collect participants' contact details and get permission to get back in touch.
Invite participants
When you are ready, we generate a survey URL for you to send around or place on your website. Participants don't have to download or install anything - they do it all through an internet browser.
Participants sort cards into groups that make the most sense to them and provide a label for each group. An intuitive drag and drop interface means participants find it easy to complete the card sort.
View results online
A summary view shows you how all your participants have grouped cards. You can also look at where individual cards were placed and track individual participant responses.
Find out how long participants took to complete the card sort, who started but didn't complete and delete individual responses. Lastly, read any comments that participants left.
Slice & dice the results
Download results in Excel or CSV and use our template to perform exploratory analysis. The spreadsheet makes it easy to look for trends by enabling you to combine categories, standardise labels and look for clusters of agreement.
Alternatively, upload it to our partner site to conduct statistical analysis. Generate a dendogram, similarity matrix and view card clusters based on set groups.
